There were two versions of the performance of Crusader recorded and both are now available to view by simply clicking on the links below.
Crusader – the Film! – you will see six ‘frames’ and simply click on the first one to start at the beginning and work your way through.
Crusader – video recording by Allen Oakes – there are nine ‘frames’ in this version which give another view of the performance.
There is also a soundtrack of the music and songs from the performance and to listen to them again just click on the link below.
Soundtrack – music only! – you will see two ‘tracks’ which are the two acts of the performance.

Fun at the Ridley Arms!
The St George’s Community Players went to The Ridley Arms at Stannington, on Saturday, January 21st for their first outing of the year. The group of 20 sat around three tables and enjoyed fine dining, a bit of banter and a lighthearted quiz about the theatre and The Players.
Many thanks must go to Anne-Marie for her impeccable organising of people’s choices from the menu and everyone’s bill afterwards. It was a fantastic evening and throughly enjoyed by all. It was also good to have a few new members in our midst too. They were made to feel very much part of the group.
Watch out for news of our next social event sometime in April.

David Kiely visited Marga and Bertrand in Grenoble over Xmas. They send their love to all at The Players. (They joined the players in 2013 and both had acting parts in Oh What A Lovely War.)

Farewell to Nancy Smith
We lost a dear friend, colleague and member of the `Players` recently. Nancy
had been a member for many years first taking to the stage way back in the sixties and
had been actively involved ever since, appearing in many productions and events.
As a committee member Nancy produced our newsletter which landed on doormats at
regular intervals then, more recently, arrived by email. This informed us of future
productions, social events and general news of members. Nancy will, indeed, be
sorely missed by us all.

NEXT PRODUCTION: This is Hello….. Is there Any Body there? and is being produced by David Swinton and will be staged on 23 – 25 March 2017.
There will be a play reading / audition is on Monday December 5 at 7.30 in the church hall and to get a synopsis of the play and the cast list please click here
